Breakfast with Georgia Democratic Party Chair June 16, 2007
Thank you for joining the North Fulton Democrats for fellowship and breakfast with Democratic Party of Georgia Chair, Jane Kidd.
On Saturday morning, June 16th, Jane Kidd, Executive Director Matt Weyandt, and DPG Secretary Steve Leeds came out to meet North Fulton Democrats at the home of Jan Hackney, who proudly ran for the Georgia House district 48. A good time was had by all.
Stay tuned for more events in North Fulton County!

February 25, 2006 Breakfast with Sec. of State Cathy Cox

Over 150 North Fulton Democrats were priviledged to meet Secretary of State and candidate for Governor, Cathy Cox. After a hearty breakfast, Cathy gave a compelling presentation outlining her common sense background, why Georgia is ripe for change in the top job, and how she plans to take on Sonny Perdue and serve ALL the residents of our state.
Cathy is wonderful candidate and longtime Georgia Democrat. Cathy Cox has a history of public service, winning a seat in the Georgia House of Representatives in 1992. As Georgia's Secretary of State since 1999, Cathy Cox has been a force for sweeping change, making a meaningful difference in the lives of all Georgians and the small businesses that are the backbone of Georgia's economy. Cox cracked down on deadbeat parents, and moved the largest division of her office out of Atlanta to middle Georgia, saving tax dollars and bringing the resources of government closer to the people it serves.

November 19, 2005 Breakfast with Lt. Governor Mark Taylor
The North Fulton Democrats were honored to spend some time and share breakfast with Georgia's "Big Guy", Lieutenant Governor and Democratic Candidate for Governor, Mark Taylor. Mark gave a wonderful speech outlining his accomplishments, and he made us all proud to be Georgia Democrats.
Mark Taylor is Georgia's 10th Lt. Governor. During his 18 years of public service, he has demonstrated a consistent commitment to kitchen-table issues, including improving education and healthcare, making communities safer and strengthening Georgia's economy. Prior to becoming Lt. Governor in 1998, he represented Albany and Southwest Georgia in the State Senate, and he served as then-Governor Zell Miller’s Floor Leader. In 1991, he led the effort to create the HOPE scholarship and pre-kindergarten programs which revolutionized education throughout the state. Taylor also led the effort to bring Peachcare to Georgia so that children from working families could have affordable access to healthcare.
August 30th, 2005 Reception for United States Senator Max Cleland
We were thrilled and honored to spend an evening with a good friend of the North Fulton Democrats, United States Senator Max Cleland. Senator Cleland really enjoyed being on stage in a room full of Democrats. He gave a riveting speech about the War in Iraq and gave us a call to action to continue working the precincts. The North Fulton Democrats presented Senator Cleland with our "North Star" award for "Courage, Leadership, and Outstanding Public Service". The "North Star" is the star you set your course by, it's the one that brings you home. That describes Max Cleland!
Max stayed late into the night to autograph t-shirts, newpapers, brochures and books. We recommend that everyone go out and get Max's books, “Strong at the Broken Places”, and “Going for the Max: 12 Principles for Living Life to the Fullest”.
We thoroughly enjoyed spending this wonderful evening with this great American and Georgia hero!
June 25, 2005 Event with Congressman John Lewis
Our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful Democrats who made our June 25th event with Congressman John Lewis such a resounding success. What an amazing evening! With over 100 Democrats in attendance, and honored guests attending from across Georgia, from neighboring County Parties, the State Party, and across the country from as far away as the Washington State Democratic Party, Congressman Lewis sounded the call:
"Don't give up, don't give in! Speak up, speak out, and get in the way!" Just as John Lewis has fought for what he believed was right and best for our country, we must do the same. "Our foremothers and forefathers may have come to this country in different ships, but we're all in the same boat now."
