What's up with Milton County?

The Georgia Constitution limits the total number of counties in our state to 159, but in the 2005 Session of the General Assembly, Sam Zamarripa and the State Senate passed a resolution to study the division of Fulton County and the consolidation of city and county government in Atlanta. This resolution would split off North Fulton to create a new Milton County.  The resolution of the study committee, SR376 can be viewed at http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2005_06/fulltext/sr376.htm

If Milton County were to ever become a reality, then we North Fulton Democrats might become the Milton County Democrats.  In preparation for what might become reality, we will collect and report Milton County information and resources here. This will also be your source for information on the Milton Democratic Party!
